Tie-Dye Watch Cap.  100% cotton 1x1 rib knit, sewn with cotton thread and hand tied and dyed in fantastic colors. These are lightweight caps that can be used all year round. They are cut oversized to allow for shrink, but do run a bit big.  These hats measure 10-3/4 inches laying flat.

If you have a head on the smaller side, I recommend the youth size caps, they measure 9-1/2 inches laying flat.

So I have been having fun starting with colored cotton tees, folding and tying them up, then removing color and then adding other colors back in.  With Black Tees, they go to a light tan and can easily be re dyed.  BUT, some colored tees discharge to unexpected colors...  Like this Purple tee that discharged to a bright orange.  I decided to just leave it discharged, but then it dried to a rusty brown color.  So this time I tried discharging it and then I rinsed it very well and then added Deep Orange to the tee... well it still dried to a rusty brown, but the orange gives it a bit of color...  I will continue playing with these 'other' color tees and will eventually make a video.

I have been having fun with a new technique... Discharging or Reversing.  I start with a Black tee, tie it up and remove color in a pattern and then sometimes I add color back in.  So in this case, Scrunched a black tee, removed color from part of it, rinsed it several times, soaked in soda ash and then dyed with Fire Colors.

Total Experiment... I only made three of these tees so get yours now, there was some dye transfer in the process, so I took extra photos.  Now the Dyes are completely set and all excess dyes washed out... just wash with colors in cold water and you are good to go with this Rainbow Drip Tie-Dye Tee.

I dyed this tee in the Rainbow Crystal design, then Twisted it up and discharged part of it, then dyed it in Blue and Black ...  I added a bit too much dye, so the Rainbow Highlights are subtle ... if this tee does not sell, I may keep it myself.

So, I just purchase some of the NEW UV Dyes from Dharma Trading Co. ... it is called ~  Psychedelic Sunshine #420 ...  it is the ONLY Fiber Reactive Fluorescent dye that works on cellulose fibers like cotton and it is Awesome, although I am still working on getting the best photos of the Glow... I bought one Black Light and then had to buy a stronger one to get these photos ...  This dye is a bit more expensive than the rest of the dyes I use, so there will be an extra 'Dye' charge on ALL of the Black Light GLOW Tees.  I am going to play with some color mixing to see what else I can do with this Dye, so stay tuned for some fun in the Psychedelic Sunshine 🥳 ✌️

Hello, my name is Carl, aka MrTieDye. I am a Dye Artist and I love the medium of tie-dye.  I push the boundaries of tie-dye to places few people have seen.  I am constantly asked "how did you do THAT with tie-dye?"
I started twisting tees and splashing dye in August 2000 and quickly realized the unlimited potential of the tie-dye medium. I have experimented with many techniques of tie-dye as I explored its history. Now, along with my peers, I am boldly contributing to the future of this dynamic new face now emerging in the World of Art ~ Tie-Dye!
