It is a zip up hoodie, the brand is Gildan.  It has been pre-washed in hot water and dried so it will not shrink.

I have been having fun with a new technique... Discharging or Reversing.  I start with a Black tee, tie it up and remove color in a pattern and then I add color back in.  Here is another set of Midnight Rainbows in various sizes ...  Adult Medium ZigZag for this one.

I love experimenting with new processes .... the latest one I have been working with is Discharging.  For this, I start with a Black or other color tee, fold and tie it up and then I remove color from the tee leaving a patten of light tan and black.  From here you can rinse well or wash and then add color back in to create this wonderful contrast of colors.

Hello, my name is Carl, aka MrTieDye. I am a Dye Artist and I love the medium of tie-dye.  I push the boundaries of tie-dye to places few people have seen.  I am constantly asked "how did you do THAT with tie-dye?"
I started twisting tees and splashing dye in August 2000 and quickly realized the unlimited potential of the tie-dye medium. I have experimented with many techniques of tie-dye as I explored its history. Now, along with my peers, I am boldly contributing to the future of this dynamic new face now emerging in the World of Art ~ Tie-Dye!

So here is a design that was first create by Jenny R. while attempting to create a Peace Sign tee without watching my video like she usually does, Her result was awesome and I dubbed it to 'Huggable Peace Sign'. I told her I wanted to recreate it and she said to go for it.  Here is the first one I made and then from here I went on to make two videos of the process ... the first one was LIVE and done exactly one year from the day I first saw her design... then the second one I did to compare the difference between the Huggable & Regular Peace Signs on Tapestries to make it more clear.  Here are links to both videos : Huggable Peace Sign  on a tee

I use Procion dyes which are professional strength commercial dyes, the colors stay bright for years.  I work with Gildan Ultra tees,  they are 6.1 oz, 100% pre-shrunk cotton.
