Tee Shirts

I have been having fun with a new technique... Discharging or Reversing.  I start with a Black tee, tie it up and remove color in a pattern and then sometimes I add color back in.  So in this case, Scrunched a black tee, removed color from part of it, rinsed it several times, soaked in soda ash and then dyed with Fire Colors. 

I use Procion dyes which are professional strength commercial dyes, the colors stay bright for years.  I work with Gildan Ultra tees,  they are 6.1 oz, 100% pre-shrunk cotton.

I love to play with new ways to fold tees or add the dyes.  For these, I tied them normally and then soak in soda ash and then pull them out and immediately pour dye over them.
